Awesome Joins IndieLab TV Accelerator

Company poised for growth with new slate of IP and new partners

LONDON, UK – May 22, 2017: Continuing its expansion from books to screen, creative incubator Awesome Media & Entertainment Ltd. joins the 2017 cohort for the prestigious IndieLab TV Accelerator program.

Founded in 2016, and backed by the Mayor of London, IndieLab takes a small group of high-potential TV production companies into a 4-month programme to accelerate their growth.

Company founder Jeff Norton says, “Awesome is in the process of pivoting from passive IP company to active co-production partner, and I’m thrilled that we will be joining a cohort of ambitious TV companies in the 2017 IndieLab.”

Awesome has six new books publishing in 2017 with major publishers and a major TV co-production with Wales based Fiction Factory (known for its crime drama ‘Hinterland’). Awesome has also expanded its international outlook by working with WME in Beverly Hills for international TV packaging.

IndieLab was founded by producer Victoria Powell to help London (and now the wider UK) independent TV production companies grow and become investor-ready.

About Awesome:  Awesome Media & Entertainment Ltd. is a UK based I.P. incubator in both the kids/family space and scripted drama.  The company was founded by author Jeff Norton and is owned by Norton and media veteran Peter Sussman.
